My first radio interview about my writing occurred this past Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 on WSAR-AM (1480).
I was interviewed on the hour long program, “The Third Degree with Chris Carreiro”. Although we have the same last name, we are not related to one another.

I first met Chris in 2004 when he was a student at Joseph Case High School in Swansea, Massachusetts. I was teaching English there at that time. I watched him move on to Bristol Community College [BCC]in Fall River. He received his associate’s degree at BCC, and then entered Roger Williams College in Bristol, Rhode Island, where he attended and successfully graduated from the law school there.
During the time I have been serving on the Swansea School Committee, Chris was elected to it and served two terms on this committee (April 2010–April 2015). (I am currently in my third term.) Elected in April of 2015, he presently serves our town as a selectman (one of three and filling the role of Vice–Chairman), and has opened a law office in Swansea as well.
While we did discuss some local and national political news towards the end of Chris’ show, most of the interview was spent talking about my writing a chapter in Stephen King’s nonfiction book Hearts in Suspension, and the first book I have released in my Immortality Wars series, the Penitent – Part One.

I was excited to be on the program with Chris. He is an excellent talk show host and helped make an hour long interview a fun and enjoyable experience.
I cannot believe that I am now at the point where my writing is published and I can begin to talk about it so that people are aware that it is available for their reading pleasure.
